After publishing family details, most of the requests were for more pictures.
These take up a lot of Server space, as well as time to transmit, as you may have noticed.
Also, organising them in a suitable way is not easy. I spend a day looking through a few thousand (yes 1000's!) photos and other pictorials to TRY to select some. I have not nearly finished yet.
Some families are overlapping a lot, eg. Vanderkolk/Vos, Stempher/Hofman and others are very scarce as far as photos are concerned, eg. Hofman. (see HELP in Main Index). (For Stempher details see also Episode 9.) I have rushed things a little to make the site (more or less) complete. This does NOT mean that I have given up on additions and/or changes, so keep watching!
Maybe I should try to delete less significant (less historical) pictures from time to time and replace them on a semi-regular basis with others? At the moment pic's are 'dumped' in "Other Pictures of interest" (see main index) Let me know what you think please. * means "married with", eg. Dick Vanderkolk * Ankie Stempher. + means "died", etc.unless shown otherwise. Or: Dirk Roelf (Dick) van der Kolk * Johanna Maria (Ankie) (nee) Stempher. Hopefully not confusing?
I may also try to put the 'thumbnails' in a more (but NOT exact!) chronological order at some time. At the last count there are some 140 pictures to look at, but a few more to come. (Site usage: 95%!)
